How client-side conversion works
Traditional online converters upload your PDF file to their servers, process it there, then send back a EPUB file. Your data crosses the internet twice and sits on someone else's machine in the middle. ConvertiZen uses WebAssembly to run the entire conversion pipeline locally in your browser. The PDF→EPUB process happens on your CPU, using your RAM. Our server never sees a single byte of your file.
FAQ
Is my PDF file uploaded to convert it to EPUB?
Never. WebAssembly converts it locally in your browser.
Is this safe for confidential PDF files?
Yes. Nothing leaves your device during or after conversion.
Can ConvertiZen access my PDF file content?
No. We have no technical ability to see your files — they never reach our servers.
What happens to my PDF file after conversion?
Nothing. It stays in your browser memory, which is cleared when you close the tab.
Is this GDPR-compliant?
Yes. No personal data or file content is processed on our servers.
